I'm glad you liked the Blue Man Group. I thought you would. Wasn"t it interesting how they made their instruments out of drain pipe of different sizes to make different sounds? They were probably high when they came up with it. Ha! Ha!
Love, Peggy

Yes, it is. What's worse is that those nuclear infested clothing was worn by people. Where are they being buried when they die from the radiation exposure?

In response to: 37 Billion Dollar Donation!!

I, too, am heartened by Mr Buffet's magnanimosity (is that a word?). Of course, it begs the question, "How can this vast sum best be put to work for the good of mankind?" I'm kind of a fan of the "Spend it all in one place" train of thought...You know, plow the (relatively) unlimited resources into irradicating 1 human scourge. But which one? Cancer? AIDS? Bird Flu? Fundementalist Monotheism? Your thoughts?

Also, before we beatify Mr. Buffet, it should be noted that he still has $5.5 billion...
In response to: Patience And Perseverance

Hi John, I ran into SuNam today and she told me about your blog. I'm so excited for you and all that is happening for you. I mentioned to SuNam that my boss also has a CI, he got it after wearing hearing aids for about 20 years. Anyway, he is always excited to talk about his experiences with the CI and HAs too-- and he is a great audiologist. If you are ever interested in talking with him let me know. I wish you continued success!! Hope you all have a great time in Disneyland.

In response to: 3rd Day TGIF!

What a blessing to be able to hear your daughter's recital. It's really quite amazing that your brain has to learn how to process sound, just like you would have to relearn how to walk after an accident. Good luck John!

Geez, I get overwhelmed with sound, I can only imagine what it would be like if you're not used to it. Kids screaming, wife nagging... whoa, whoa, did I just write that? Heh, um... anyway, congrats, and good luck in adjusting!

In response to: Activation

Wow, as a culturally Deaf person, I used to not think highly of CI but nowdays, my mind is opening up to people who choose to get CI. As a hearing aid user, I also appreciate the world of sounds such as a simple bird sing and my daughter laugh. I do know the sounds of the key jingling and the turn signal clicking... deep down inside, I am happy for you that you can hear the clicking and the jingling, too. I know it takes time for your brain to explore. Thank you for sharing your experience in details as every individual have their own journey in what they hear after the CI is activated. I enjoyed reading your post and look forward to more of your experiences as time goes by! Happy exploring in the world of SOUND!
